The Application Question Form dynamically displays configuration options based on your selection for Question Type and Subtype.

All Application Question Forms will have a group of fields that are common to all types. these are explained in the section below.
Common Fields
These are:

Instruction Prologue - If you select 'Yes' for Instruction Prologue, a mandatory text area field will appear. This field supports plain text only and will appear above the Question Label for an applicant.

Question Label - The Question Label is the question that the applicant will be asked. This mandatory field supports rich text formatting and hyperlinks.

Instruction Epilogue - If you select 'Yes' for Instruction Epilogue, a mandatory text area field will appear. This field supports plain text only and will appear below the Question Label and above the answer field for an applicant.

Is this question mandatory? - This question defaults an answer to 'No'. If you select 'Yes', an applicant will be required to provide an answer in order to submit an application.

Show question based on response to another question? - This question let's you configure the question so that it will only asked if the Parent Question conditions are met. If you select 'Yes', two additional fields will be displayed. If an applicant's answer matches the Parent Question Answer that you select, the question will be displayed. In the example below, the question would display is the applicant answered 'Yes' to the question 'Do you have a current drivers licence?'
NOTE: Parent Questions must be either Multiple Choice Radio Button or Multiple Choice Searchable Dropdown AND be ordered before the child question.

Short Label - This field let's you set how your application question will display when using the application response filters when viewing applications. For example, you may have a compliance related question that cites relevant legislation as the basis for asking the question. You could set the Short Label to "Legislative Compliance" and this is what you would see when setting your application response filters. Short Label is optional.

Question Audience - Question Audience lets you determine which applicant groups will be asked the question based on their sign up responses. The options are:
- Both - Question presented to all applicants.
- External / Alumni - Question presented to applicants that are not currently working for but may have worked for you in the past.

Internal / Contractor - Question presented to applicants that currently work for you on a permanent or contract basis.

Answer Privacy - This option lets you set who can view the responses based on user permissions. There are three levels of answer privacy:
- Visible to all users
- Masked for users without permission
- Hidden for users without permission
Free Text Question Fields
Each Free Text Question subtype has an additional field to complete. Free Text Short Answer and Free Text Long Answer have a Maximum Length field. This will default to maximum number of characters allowable for each subtype.
Free Text Tags has a field that lets you set a Maximum Number of Answers. There is no limit by default and this field is optional to complete.
Multiple Choice Question Fields
When creating a Multiple Choice Question, you have the choice of using an existing Answer Set or creating a new Answer Set. The 'Answer Sets' field is filterable.
If you scroll to the bottom of the list and have not found the Answer Set you'd like to use, you can click the 'Create New Answer Set' option to open the Answer Set Builder.
If you choose to create a new Answer Set, you must give it a unique name and then add the Answers that you'd like presented to your applicants. For more information on creating Answer Sets, you can click here.
Number & Currency Question Fields
There are two fields unique to both the Number and Currency Question Types. These are:
- Maximum Value - This is the maximum value that the question will accept. You can use this creatively limit characters as well. For example, if your question asks for a registration number and you know that this number is always 8 digits, you can set the maximum value 99999999 will be able to enter any combination of numbers with a maximum of 8 digits.
- Maximum Decimal Places - This is the maximum number of decimal places allowed in the response.
File Attachment Question Fields
There is one field unique to the File Attachment Question type. This is the Maximum Number of Files that can be attached in response to the question.
