What is an Answer Badge?
Answer Badges are visual indicators that make it easier for you to identify crucial application relation information without clicking into an application to view the detailed application responses. For example, it might be highly desirable that applicants have recently completed a CPR course. You can ask the question, "Have you recently completed a CPR course?" and, if the applicant's answer to this question is 'Yes', you can set an Answer Badge of 'CPR' to appear when viewing the the list of applications.
You can configure Answer Badges on these types of questions:
- Multiple Choice - Radio Button
- Multiple Choice - Searchable Dropdown
- Number
- Currency
Configuring Answer Badges on Multiple Choice Questions
To configure an Answer Badge, hover over the question and click the 3 dot icon along the right hand side. This will open a menu where you can select 'Manage Badges'.
After clicking Manage Badges, the Answer Badge Dialog will open. There are 3 fields to complete:
- Badge Label - This is what you will see when viewing the applications in the job. The Badge Label can be a maximum of 10 characters.
- Badge Details - This is what will appear when you hover over the Badge when viewing applications. The Badge Details are a maximum of 50 characters.
- Answer Triggers - These are the answers that will trigger applying the Badge to the application. More than one answer can trigger a badge.
In the example Answer Badge dialog below, the Badge 'CPR' will appear on the application if the applicant answers 'Yes'. If you were to hover over the Badge, you would see 'Recent CPR course completed'.
Configuring Answer Badges on Number & Currency Questions
The Answer Badge dialog for Number & Currency Questions is slightly different to the Multiple Choice Answer Badge dialog.
After clicking Manage Badges, the Answer Badge Dialog will open. There are 4 fields to complete:
- Badge Label - This is what you will see when viewing the applications in the job. The Badge Label can be a maximum of 10 characters.
- Badge Details - This is what will appear when you hover over the Badge when viewing applications. The Badge Details are a maximum of 50 characters.
- Answer Trigger - This is the number that is combined with the rule set in the Answer Trigger Direction field.
- Answer Trigger Direction - This is the rule relative to the number you've set for Answer Trigger.
In the example below, the Application Question might be 'What is your desired salary?'. If the applicant answers an number greater than 120,000, the Badge '$$$' will appear on the application. If you hover over this badge, you would see 'Desired salary exceeds budget'.
